Provide stipends to support the work of the SolSmart Advisor. <br /> b. Provide the SolSmart Advisor with training and educational resources. <br /> c. Monitor SolSmart Advisor progress and support other project management <br /> activities. <br /> d. Provide limited, supplemental technical assistance to the SolSmart Advisor and/or <br /> Host Community as needed. <br /> e. Connect SolSmart Advisors with existing local networks that can serve as a <br /> resource to the SolSmart Advisor. <br /> 2. The Host Community will: <br /> a. Make every reasonable effort to facilitate and ensure completion of the SolSmart <br /> Advisor work plan specified in the Work Plan, composed of "Attachment 1: <br /> Orange County Work Plan Calculator" and"Attachment 2: Orange County <br /> Work Plan Statement of Project Objectives (SOPO)" attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein, and that the Host Community(or the individual communities <br /> on behalf of which the Host Community receives a SolSmart Advisor) will <br /> achieve designation under the SolSmart program. The Host Community <br /> recognizes that inadequate project progress may result in early termination of the <br /> SolSmart Advisor work plan and this MOU. <br /> b. Maintain a clear, ongoing commitment to achieving SolSmart designation. <br /> c. Assign a project"Sponsor" (e.g., local elected official, local government <br /> department head, organization director, etc.) to provide the SolSmart Advisor <br /> with reliable access to the staff and decision makers within the community who <br /> will select from and ultimately implement the recommendations provided by the <br /> SolSmart Advisor. <br /> d. Assign a project"Supervisor"to provide regular assistance and guidance to the <br /> SolSmart Advisor and to participate in project management and reporting. <br /> e. Provide the SolSmart Advisor with adequate work space, equipment, access to <br /> Host Community and local government staff and other human resources across all <br /> relevant departments and to external stakeholders. <br /> f. Allow the work of the SolSmart Advisor, including successes and lessons learned, <br /> to be promoted publicly and without restriction by the SolSmart program. <br /> 3. The SolSmart Advisor will: <br /> a. Assume primary responsibility in qualifying the Host Community for SolSmart <br /> designation and maximizing the programmatic impact of the engagement. <br /> b. Review and revise as necessary the SolSmart Advisor work plan and ensure <br /> steady progress toward work plan objectives, outcomes, and milestones is <br /> maintained. <br />
