The project entailed gathering and analyzing information on services and supports <br /> related to: <br /> Health/healthcare, <br /> • Employment, <br /> Informal and formal services and supports, <br /> • Education/Early Intervention, <br /> • Housing, <br /> • Transportation, <br /> • Child Care, and <br /> • Recreation. <br /> Qualitative information was gathered through key informant interviews. The final report <br /> (written by Ms. Hoesel) was entitled, "Portrait of State Services: A Comprehensive Review of <br /> Services and Supports for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities". <br /> Ms. Hoesel also reviewed state plans (ND Center for Persons with Disabilities, Developmental <br /> Disabilities Division, Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Public Instruction, Protection & <br /> Advocacy, Money Follows the Person, Center for Independent Livings Services, Department of <br /> Health) and identified areas the plans might provide opportunity to collaborate with the <br /> council. The project included surveying agencies with regulatory and legislative authority for <br /> IDD services and supports; identifying overlapping goals and detailing a profile for each agency. <br /> Quality Service Reviews in Multiple Systems of Care: <br /> Mark O'Donnell, in addition to his experience working for the State of North Carolina Division of <br /> Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities/Substance Abuse Services as a Child and Adolescent <br /> Mental Health Project Director, has also worked on assessments of children and adolescents in <br /> New Jersey, Indiana, Iowa and North Carolina. <br /> Page 6 <br /> NRI • 3141 Fairview Park Drive • Suite 650• Falls Church, VA• 22042 • 703-738-8160 •www.nri-inc.org <br />
