NRI's expertise in behavioral health at the <br /> national, state, and local levels will help Orange County identify and address barriers to mental <br /> health, substance use, and intellectual and developmental disability services for individuals <br /> between the ages of 0-25. <br /> NRI Organizational History and Priorities <br /> NRI was formed in 1987 as the research ally of National Association of State Mental Health <br /> Program Directors (NASMHPD), the organization representing state mental health <br /> commissioners/directors and their agencies. NRI is a separate, strictly non-partisan, not-for- <br /> profit 501(c)(3) organization.
