A report was made back to the Board at the <br />October 1, 1996 regular meeting, which is discussed below. <br />Also at the August 20, 1996 meeting, Conm>issioner Alice Gordon, during <br />the Board Comments section of the agenda, noted the report in the agenda <br />package regarding membership statistics for the Board of Commissioners <br />dating back to 1954 (see Appendix M). Commissioner Gordon noted <br />several facts related to the materials, including that membership on the <br />Board of Commissioners had been spread, to varying degrees, across the <br />County during the 42-year period, except for during a two and a half year <br />period starting in 1990 when all five Commissioners were from Chapel Hill <br />Township.
