I <br />am a product of the Durham school system, having attended public school at all levels, <br />ihcluding graduating from one of our State Universities prior to graduate school, My <br />professional life led me to an assignment in Asia prior to returning to this area. While in <br />Asia, I held a seat on the Board of Directors of the American School in Singapore. The <br />interest I have in education runs deep and is related in part to my current employment at <br />Duke University, In addition to my direct invovlement in Orange County volunteer civic <br />activities, 1 participate in numerous community organizations.
