Section Four <br />Qualifications of Key Personnel <br />28 <br />Resume – Lori Scozzafava <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />Lori Scozzafava - GBB Vice President, Operations Officer <br />Ms. Scozzafava is an experienced senior level executive with over 25 years of solid <br />waste management industry experience, including 15 years in high profile leadership <br />roles with the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), the US Composting <br />Council (USCC), and the Composting Council Research & Education Foundation (CCREF). <br />While in leadership positions for these national associations, she influenced regional <br />and national policy in multiple environmental areas with expertise, passion and <br />integrity. She also worked with Boards to improve organizational success, providing <br />guidance and fact-based decision options. She has extensive project management, recycling, and <br />composting expertise, and has received several industry recognitions, including being named one of the <br />top Women in Environmental Management by Waste & Recycling News and one of seven “Up-and- <br />Coming” professionals in the recycling and composting industries by Resource Recycling magazine. <br />Education <br />x MBA, Business Management with a concentration in Marketing, University of Maryland - Robert <br />H. Smith School of Business <br />x BA, Environmental Science, Bucknell University <br />Certification <br />x Association Executive (CAE) through American Society of Association Executives <br />Selected Consulting Experience <br />For Muskegon County, MI, Officer-in-Charge of the GBB Project team that performed a study to examine <br />and review the solid waste management system to create a baseline “profile” to typify and quantify it, <br />including a recycling rate. The GBB Project Team provided recommendations for system improvements, <br />including recycling, procurement, services provision, and program evaluation.
