Tyrus Clayton, Jr., PE <br />Client Manager <br />Mr. Clayton has utilized his engineering expertise on a broad range of projects <br />including design of residential single family and multifamily developments, municipal <br />infrastructure, solid waste design, solid waste construction quality assurance, <br />geotechnical investigations, stormwater management, site design, and construction <br />administration. He has completed projects throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and <br />Tennessee and was responsible for directing numerous environmental, geotechnical, <br />and civil engineering projects for counties, municipalities, private enterprises, general <br />contractors, and the North Carolina Division of Parks and Recreation. <br />Orange County Regional Landfill, Phase 4 Cell Construction, Chapel Hill, <br />NC: Provided QA/QC testing services for construction of new landfill cell. <br />Responsibilities included overseeing construction of a seven-acre cell with clay <br />liner, geosynthetic clay liner, 60-mil HDPE synthetic liner, a geocomposite drainage <br />layer, a leachate collection system and 18” cover soil. Produced final CQA report <br />that was submitted to NCDENR. <br />Blackburn MSW Landfill, Catawba County, NC: Project Manager. Provided <br />CQA testing services and inspections for construction of new landfill cell. <br />Responsibilities include overseeing of construction a fourteen-acre cell with clay <br />liner, a primary 60-mil HDPE synthetic liner, a secondary 60-mil HDPE synthetic <br />liner, a leachate collection system and a geocomposite/gravel drainage layer. <br />C.R.S.W.M.A., Newport Transfer Station, C & D Facility Addition, Newport, <br />NC: Project Manager for the design and construction of Transfer Station addition <br />to be utilized for transport of C & D waste. Responsible for the site design and <br />construction management. Construction management consisted of soil CQA and <br />concrete testing and construction documentation. <br />Bryant LCID Landfill Expansion, Harnett County, NC: Project Manager/Project <br />Designer. Designed and permitted an approximate 10 acre expansion to the <br />existing LCID landfill. Permitting included E&S Control, Stormwater, and Solid <br />Waste. <br />Dunn/Erwin Landfill Gas Extraction System and Flare Station, Harnett County, <br />NC: Project Manager.
