DocuSign Envelope ID:A8E51 BF8-6EBC-4632-A21 F-FE02EF5B133D
openbroadband
We are also in discussion with Chatham County to implement broadband service in the areas
immediately adjacent to Orange County. We are open to a consolidated effort with a
combination of county RFPs to leverage our network build in that area to benefit both counties.
Disposition of Assets in event of project termination
We understand and appreciate the need for the County to preserve the goals of the RFP in the
event the project(s) are terminated. In the event Orange County determines that Open Broadband
has failed to comply with the terms of the Agreement, Open Broadband, upon receipt of written
notice from Orange County of said Default, shall immediately return all unexpended funds as of
the date of the Default, to Orange County and the county may, among other legal remedies
available, terminate the Agreement.
E-Verify and Living;Wage
All Open Broadband employees are authorized to work in the US. Since we have fewer than 25
employees we are exempt from E-Verify filings. However, if awarded the RFP and Orange
County requires us to go through the process,we will do so. All of our employees exceed the
living wage objective set by Orange County.
Other Information, advice, counsel
At Open Broadband, we believe that once broadband infrastructure is available, the conversation
quickly shifts to `how do you leverage iff.. Through our efforts with NC Hearts Gigabit and
Charlotte Hearts Gigabit we can bring both an economic development, and a Digital Inclusion
focus to Orange County. Open Broadband would be happy to help in these efforts, regardless of
the carrier selected for County broadband services.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the RFP. We welcome questions and additional
conversations about working together to foster greater broadband service.
Alan Fitzpatrick
CEO
Open Broadband, LLC
704-237-0102
Open Broadband,LLC I PO Box 723.Waxhaw,NC 28173 1 704-237-0102
www.openbb.net
