DocuSign Envelope ID:A8E51 BF8-6EBC-4632-A21 F-FE02EF5B133D <br /> Access to a segregated, secured space within a data center facility or computer <br /> room owned or leased by ORANGE COUNTY used for servers, <br /> telecommunications, and/or network equipment may also be made available. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY may provide access to the space through routine IT <br /> operations processes or through accompanied access to the space; <br /> alternatively, Vendor(s) may choose to segregate Vendors) and ORANGE <br /> COUNTY's equipment from each other in order for ORANGE COUNTY to provide <br /> full access by Vendor(s) into the facility without escort. ORANGE COUNTY will <br /> ensure data center is capable of receiving electrical service, computer room air <br /> conditioning, and customary facility monitoring services. ORANGE COUNTY will <br /> provide reasonable 24x7 access to the space for equipment maintenance and <br /> repair. Vendor(s) will be required to adhere to municipal security policies and <br /> practices for working in such a space. Co-location space and other public assets <br /> can be found in Appendix D. <br /> 3.2 Funding Available <br /> Orange County may contribute up to $500,000.00 of the project cost.The <br /> remaining cost of the total project must be funded by the applicant. <br /> Applicants may be funded at the amount applied for or at a lesser amount. In <br /> addition, ORANGE COUNTY may provide Vendor(s) with information about <br /> funds, grants, and contracts that can be directed to this Network(s), and may <br /> be able to provide Vendor(s) with assistance in applying for available grants or <br /> loans to pay for Network(s) expenses. <br /> 3.2.1 Funding restrictions <br /> No grants will be awarded to applicants that expect to use these funds to <br /> issue their own grants. Orange County will not award grants to substitute for <br /> lost government appropriations or cover pre-existing operating expenses for <br /> established organizations or pre-existing deployment to any of the Eligible <br /> Service Areas. <br /> 3.3 Assistance in Identifying and Generating Demand <br /> ORANGE COUNTY may negotiate individual commitments to purchase <br /> Network(s) services needed for ORANGE COUNTY's operations (e.g., <br /> transmission capacity, Internet access, voice, video, security monitoring, cloud <br /> computing and storage) through the Network(s). <br /> 4. Vendor Services <br /> ORANGE COUNTY are looking for innovative solutions which may entail one <br /> or more Vendors collaborating together to create a turn-key system. <br /> Service descriptions must include complete system design, engineering, <br /> operations, monitoring, maintenance, customer support provisions, and <br /> enhancements.
