Any network elements added by the Vendors) shall <br /> belong to the Vendors) but may be purchased at the end of the term by <br /> Orange County at reasonable, depreciated market value. If such network <br /> elements are not so purchased and are no longer in use, the Vendors) shall <br /> remove such elements at Orange County's request. Orange County may also <br /> offer access to additional assets, services, and infrastructure at their discretion. <br /> This will be determined during the negotiation process with the vendor. <br /> Orange County may charge Vendors) as may be authorized or required by law <br /> for access to Orange County assets and infrastructure as set forth herein or as <br /> otherwise may be required by law. A list of assets is available in Appendices C <br /> and D. <br /> 3.1.1 Vertical Asset Access <br /> Access to vertical assets that are owned by the county or allow county providers <br /> to access them. A tower map and additional information about tower locations <br /> can be found in Appendices C and D. <br /> 3.1.2 Rights of Way and Easements <br /> If requested, Orange County will cooperate with Vendor(s) in its efforts to gain <br /> access to rights of way or easements owned or controlled by third parties <br /> within the Service Area. <br /> 3.1.3 Pole Attachment Rights <br /> If requested, Orange County will cooperate with Vendors) in its efforts to gain <br /> access to poles owned or controlled by third parties within the Service Area. <br /> 3.1.4 Co-location Space and Power <br /> ORANGE COUNTY may provide access to segregated, secured spaces for <br /> telecommunications and network equipment within facilities owned or leased <br /> by Orange County; this space may exist in telecom closets or equipment huts <br /> at tower sites, fire stations, municipal buildings, or other locations. This space <br /> is typically not tiered data center space, and is generally unconditioned beyond <br /> standard building climate control. <br /> Some locations may contain generator/UPS backup for electrical utility service, <br /> although Orange County are open to proposals from Vendor(s) to add <br /> redundant services. Vendors) may choose to segregate their equipment within <br /> the shared space. Orange County will provide reasonable 247 access to the <br /> space for equipment maintenance and repair. The intent of ORANGE COUNTY <br /> is to make space available throughout the period the Vendor provides service. <br /> Prospective Vendors may propose alternate property interests in the available <br /> co-location space, but any provision of publicly owned space shall be subject to <br /> the disposition requirements of Article 12 of Chapter 160A of the North <br /> Carolina General Statutes, including potential upset bid requirements for any <br /> lease term in excess of 15 years. <br /> 5 <br />
