B. NON-PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br />1. Update on Rural Enterprises Project <br />PURPOSE: Planning and Economic Development staff will respond to questions and <br />comments from the February 28, 2005 Joint County Commissioner/Planning Board Work <br />Session on the Rural Enterprises project and conditional district zoning proposal. The focus <br />will be on a recommended permitting process, suitability of farm-related businesses in <br />certain sections of the county, and realistic viability of such businesses in the long-term. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this decision, <br />Advertisement costs are included in the budget for County initiated items, <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends APPROVAL of the proposed <br />May 23, 2005 Quarterly Public Hearing legal advertisement. <br />
