There <br /> will be no exceptions to this policy for Department Administration, Government <br /> Administrators, insurance companies or any other persons. <br /> • Records of participation in personnel assistance programs or critical incident <br /> stress debriefing are considered medical records and kept as strictly confidential. <br /> • Personnel may examine their own medical records, and may obtain one copy for <br /> personal use. Abstracts of medical records without personal identifiers may be <br /> made for quality assurance, compliance monitoring, or program evaluation <br /> purposes, so long as the identity of individual personnel cannot be determined <br /> from the abstract. <br /> • Communications between medical and personnel sections will focus on fitness to <br /> work or restrictions, and not on diagnoses. <br /> Revised July,2018 <br />
