Pass oral board examination with Orange County Emergency <br /> Services Medical Direction and Training staff.** <br /> c. Agency selecting Paramedic upgrade will: <br /> i. Ensure that providers meet all Phase III core competency <br /> requirements as described in attachment 5. Ensure that all Agency <br /> Paramedics pass Paramedic Protocol and medication testing. <br /> ii. Ensure completed initial Orange County Emergency Services <br /> Credentialing TSOP at Paramedic level <br /> iii. Pass oral board examination with Orange County Emergency <br /> Services Medical Direction and Training staff. ** <br /> *Field precepting may be concurrent with initial certification course. <br /> However, documentation must be retained and all field precepting <br /> must occur in Orange County <br /> **All Precepting evaluation paperwork must be completed and <br /> submitted to the OCES Training Coordinator prior to scheduling board <br /> examinations. <br /> 6. Agency Continuing Education Plan: Agency's continuing education and skill <br /> maintenance plan <br /> a. This plan should detail the method by which Agency providers will maintain <br /> their certification and how the Agency will ensure training needs are met. <br /> i. Documentation of educational hours and objectives for credentialing <br /> cycle <br /> ii. Documentation of skills procedures <br /> iii. Additional documentation of how to alter the plan when critical issues <br /> identified in the Peer Review process arise or implementation of new <br /> procedures/equipment. <br /> b. Providers may maintain credentials by attending a refresher course for their <br /> level within their credentialing period or may attend monthly training to meet <br /> the required topics. <br /> Rev. 8/8/2018 - 4 - <br />
