DocuSign Envelope ID:79C5D167-B6CA-4E59-B4AC-AA38CC1 B20BD <br /> Orange County Emergency Services <br /> System Plan <br /> �`>r%t . e°oo <br /> n <br /> °r'17 �xr°"'°A Mass Gathering Plan <br /> Emergency Services Staff (Continued): <br /> o Based on the size of the event, the following tasks may be <br /> assigned to separate individuals, separate teams, or grouped and <br /> assigned to a single individual: <br /> ■ Event Medical Operations - This function oversees all <br /> aspects of the medical operation at the event. <br /> • Event Triage. <br /> o This function directs and conducts medical <br /> assessment of casualties in a designated <br /> treatment area or while roving through the <br /> mass gathering area. <br /> o If the triage function is conducted while moving <br /> around the venue, then transport of the injured <br /> to a central treatment area is also a component <br /> part of this responsibility. <br /> • Event Treatment. <br /> o This function directs the treatment of sick and <br /> injured people in the mass gathering area. <br /> • Event Transportation Officer. <br /> o This function directs the transport of severely <br /> injured or ill persons to facilities for further <br /> treatment. <br /> o This function may also involve liaison with the <br /> normal OCES operations through the OCES <br /> Operations Manager. <br /> • Event Logistics Officer. <br /> o This function provides for the necessary <br /> support of OCES personnel providing coverage <br /> at the event. <br /> • Other anticipated Functions. <br /> o Based on the type and venue of the event, <br /> there may be a need to include specialty <br /> teams, such as haz-mat, decontamination, <br /> wilderness medicine, or amateur radio groups <br /> in the OCES event plan. <br /> • Communications Plan <br /> • Ingress/Egress Plan <br /> Revised September, 2018 <br />
