All training records <br /> are required to be maintained for each provider for a period of at least 6 <br /> years <br /> v. Continuing education offered by SORS must be overseen by an EMS Level I <br /> instructor. <br /> vi. SORS must designate a training officer and provide the OCES training officer <br /> the individual's name and preferred contact information as well as their <br /> credentials / qualifications to ensure the State's continuing education <br /> requirements are met. <br /> vii. In order for SORS to conduct in-house continuing education instruction in <br /> compliance with Orange County Educational Institution, Training Officers <br /> must possess a Level I EMS Instructor credential from State OEMS. <br /> 11)SORS will designate a representative whose attendance at the statutorily required Peer <br /> Review Committee meetings will adhere to the Peer Review Committee System Plan Policy <br /> as described in 10A NCAC 13P.0408 (10). <br /> 12)In the provision of patient care and transport services, SORS Providers shall adhere to the <br /> Orange County Emergency Medical Services Practice Protocols. <br /> 13)SORS and OCES agree to a minimum of no less than an annual meeting to review and update <br /> this agreement and procedures. Additional group meetings may be requested by any party <br /> if needs arise. <br /> 14)SORS agrees there shall be a minimum of ninety (90) days written notice prior to the <br /> termination of this agreement by the Private Franchise Provider. <br /> 15)SORS will provide all equipment and medical supplies necessary to outfit their ambulances <br /> initially. OCES agrees that SORS maintains the ability to restock from OCES supplies as <br /> needed after the completion of patient care. <br /> 16)OCES will provide SORS with fuel cards to allow SORS to fuel their emergency response <br /> vehicles for the purposes of assisting OCES with response. <br /> 17)SORS agrees to follow the Orange County Mass Gathering Plan in the planning of mass <br /> gathering special events and to notify OCES of any and all SORS special event coverage <br /> seven (7) days prior to the event. (See Attachment B, Orange County Mass Gathering Plan) In <br /> the event that the Mass Gathering plan requires advanced life support coverage, SORS will <br /> make the ALS request no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the event. OCES will invoice <br /> the event planner separately from SORS. OCES agrees to provide SORS with no less than <br /> fourteen (14) days written advance notice for requests for coverage for OCES-coordinated <br /> special events. <br /> 18)Data collection hardware shall be purchased by SORS that allows SORS to utilize the data <br /> resources as prescribed and provided by the County for the acquisition, transmission and <br /> reporting of patient care reports and other EMS data associated with BLS Transport and <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> Version: September 2018 <br />
