Areas of Concern

Exit Summary
Are there resident issues or topics that need follow-up or
review at a later time or during the next visit?

Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as
any changes observed during the visit. Give summary of
visit with Administrator or SIC. Does the facility have
needs that the committee or community could help address?

As noted in 17 above, the biggest complaint of residents
continues to be the food. The Administrator took notes of
residents’ concerns and hopes that things will improve with
the new chef who begins in 2 weeks.

The Administrator likes the activities director and the new
assistant. She expressed the belief that they can reach more
residents with the addition of the assistant.

We asked about the smoking policy. Potential residents
who smoke are not accepted by the facility. Staff are ad-
vised that their employment will be terminated if they are
smoking on site.

While we were in the facility, there was a written notice of a
communicable disease. We were also cautioned by the
Nursing Director, when we arrived, to not touch any resi-
dents on certain halls.

1/2015
