Residents report attending some activities.
They had a Gospel Weekend the past weekend.
The activities director now has an assistant, which
should help reach more residents. They have a
vegetable garden and a room with games. They
also utilize the hairdressing area for manicures.
One resident reported enjoying regular visits from
someone who brings a bird, and noted that she
would enjoy more animal visits.
Several residents reported that they did not have
any one invite them to any activities.
15a. The rooms have activity calendars, but the
calendars are difficult to read because the font is so
small. We discussed this with the Administrator.
17. Food continues to be a problem at this facility.
Residents can request something different for some
meals, but their only alternative appears to be a
cheese sandwich. She was apprised of residents’ com-
plaints about lack of food choice and many resi-
dents’ complaints about the food in general.
Some residents had no complaints about the
food. One resident keeps cereal in her room as she
does not like grits or oatmeal, which is the standard
breakfast.
15a. Was a current activity calendar posted in the facility?
