Does the facility have a functioning: Resident’s <br />Council? <br /> Family <br />Council? <br />yes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Areas of Concern Exit Summary <br />Are there resident issues or topics that need follow-up or <br />review at a later time or during the next visit? <br /> <br />- Several comments concerned meals: lack of <br />choice, lack of ‘finger food,’ and food quality. <br />- A family member complained that it seemed there <br />was a lack of communication between shifts <br />regarding needs (bed alarm, and the fact that the <br />resident needed to be fed). <br />- A concern was expressed about clothing not <br />coming back from the laundry or being returned to <br />the wrong resident. <br />Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as <br />any changes observed during the visit. Give summary of <br />visit with Administrator or SIC. Does the facility have <br />needs that the committee or community could help address? <br /> <br />Exit was held with Admissions Coordinator. <br /> <br />-Family members appreciated being given the phone number <br />of a nurse advocate at the admission meeting. One <br />mentioned she had called with concerns which were <br />addressed. <br />- Facility was clean and staff members were consistently <br />friendly and helpful. <br />- A part time activities director coordinates activities every <br />day of the week; residents are invited to participate at the <br />time of the activity. Activities range from coloring, jewelry <br />making, and language instruction to manicures, bingo, <br />socials, and religious services. <br />- Several residents were observed to be enjoying sitting <br />outside (these were ones who appeared able to get there on <br />their own). <br />- Greatest concerns were about meals. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
