Were residents asked their preferences or opinions <br /> about the activities planned for them at the facility? <br />no 15. Activities are planned by the activities <br />director. Though they are varied, residents <br />interviewed stated they were not asked about <br />preferences. It was suggested perhaps this <br />could be addressed at resident council <br />meetings. <br />17b. Lack of meal choice was mentioned by <br />several residents. A standard meal is served <br />and an alternative is available if the resident <br />prefers something else. The rep we spoke to <br />noted some have meals brought in. One <br />family member noted that the meal was not <br />always appropriate for residents; e.g., more <br />‘finger food’ would be helpful. One mentioned <br />the same thing was always served for breakfast <br />though it was not what she preferred, and a <br />new tray often needed to be prepared. <br />15a.
