Does the facility have <br />needs that the committee or community could help address? <br /> Resident Rights: <br /> Respect: Use of demeaning language by staff when <br />referring to incontinent products; resident had spoken <br />w/management about this and management had provided <br />staff education; since issue remains, D, Health Services <br />indicated further staff education would occur. <br /> Ability to Voice concerns: One Resident thought <br />management presence was minimal on nursing units; felt <br />as if concerns had not been addressed. D, HS explained <br />walking rounds on units (staff observed doing so) and <br />manner in which resident condition changes were <br />observed and reported in writing to those in charge <br /> Safety: some rooms with visible safety concerns found <br />unlocked <br />Positive Changes Noted by Resident <br /> Resident living in facility 2+ years specifically noted <br />positive changes, particularly with staff approaches and <br />attitudes over time. Pleased that administration had <br />identified needs and took actions (whatever they were) to <br />address difficulties.
