<br /> <br />Areas of Concern Exit Summary <br />Are there resident issues or topics that need follow-up or <br />review at a later time or during the next visit? <br /> <br /> <br />The administrator mentioned that the current state report <br />had recently been received and he had not yet placed it in <br />the notebook. The trash overflow issue, state in the report, <br />was partly a result of inclement weather cancellation/ <br />delays and had been resolved by increased pick up from <br />two to three days a week. <br />Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as <br />any changes observed during the visit. Give summary of <br />visit with Administrator or SIC. Does the facility have <br />needs that the committee or community could help address? <br /> <br /> The administrator mentioned there were unfilled C.N.A. <br />positions due to lack of qualified candidates. He discussed <br />statewide trends of fewer people entering and completing <br />programs. <br /> <br />As renovations are made, more single rooms are included to <br />accommodate resident wishes. <br />Several residents expressed appreciation for physical and <br />occupational therapy. One family member, a physician, <br />noted her mother had made much progress since she had <br />come to Brookshire and could not think of any concerns. <br /> <br />There have been no cases of flu at Brookshire. Three <br />Hospice partnerships are welcomed at Brookshire: UNC, <br />Duke, and Alamance County.
