Areas of Concern Exit Summary
Are there resident issues or topics that need follow-up or
review at a later time or during the next visit?

In the future the committee is to include the Assisted
Living wing of Brookshire.
Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as
any changes observed during the visit. Give summary of
visit with Administrator or SIC. Does the facility have
needs that the committee or community could help address?
The administrator was observed to be interacting with
residents during our visit. Residents stated that they were
listened to and concerns were addressed. For example, one
woman had recently requested a room change that had been
granted.

The Administrator stated that finding qualified nursing
assistants is sometimes a challenge.

Committee noticed that visitor chairs are not routinely in all
resident rooms. This was brought up to the Administrator,
who stated that the furniture is the choice of the resident.

Results of an interview with the new activities director was
discussed. Efforts are made to actively engage residents. A
few expressed a desire for some ‘higher level’ activities.

The committee can be of assistance by providing items for
the activities program; a list was provided that has been
shared.
