Were residents asked their preferences or opinions <br /> about the activities planned for them at the facility? <br />N/A 15. Many residents were gathered in the <br />activity room looking forward to manicures <br />given by the activities director and her <br />assistant. They mentioned enjoying art and <br />jewelry making. A collage of photographs was <br />displayed of resident activities including a <br />vegetable garden. A monthly activity calendar <br />was in each resident’s room. <br />17 Residents expressed satisfaction with <br />dining choices and quality. Each morning they <br />complete menus and are giving several <br />choices. A recent change in schedule where <br />residents who opt to dine in the dining room <br />are served first has resulted in increased <br />participation <br />17c. Residents are offered cold water or <br />cranberry juice along with a snack. <br />19. Schools, religious groups, and health care <br />training programs are involved at Brookshire. <br />20. The administrator often informs the <br />resident council of upcoming issues and seeks <br />input. Efforts to form a family council have <br />been unsuccessful. <br />15a.
