Bingo was well attended on the day of <br />our visit. <br /> <br />19. Carillon, together with the Orange Co <br />Historic Museum, hosted an "Antique <br />Extravaganza" recently which brought the <br />general public to their facility. <br /> <br />Singers who sing to residents arrived as we <br />were leaving. Families were visiting, residents <br />were lounging comfortably in several public <br />spaces. <br />15a. Was a current activity calendar posted in the facility? Yes <br />15b. Does the facility have a functioning: Resident’s Council? <br /> Family Council? <br />Yes <br /> <br /> <br />Areas of Concern Exit Summary <br />Are there resident issues or topics that need follow-up or <br />review at a later time or during the next visit? <br /> <br />One of our observers suggested a remedy to a roommate <br />dispute in the Garden Place that the staff may not have <br />considered yet. This recommendation was based on direct <br />conversations with the involved parties. Laurie indicated <br />that she would try this option. <br /> <br />One resident repeated her desire to leave and go home. <br />Her cognition was impaired but we will follow-up with <br />her at next visit to check her level of adjustment. <br /> <br />One resident complained that the cost of medicines were <br />withheld from his personal financial allotment. He and <br />the management are arranging for him to get his meds <br />from the VA. <br /> <br />Discuss items from “Areas of Concern” Section as well as <br />any changes observed during the visit. Give summary of <br />visit with Administrator or SIC. Does the facility have <br />needs that the committee or community could help address? <br /> We presented information about resident voting options <br />and staff reported that they already work with the Board of <br />Elections with this goal in mind. <br /> <br />We reviewed emergency preparedness and Laurie reported <br />that, during an ice storm, they were able to stay in place <br />without power for 48 hours, and all enjoyed their time <br />together with games and unique activities . <br /> <br />Memory Care is full and the facility is not accepting new <br />residents with Special Assistance at this time. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
