The funds additionally support a system that enhances the access of <br /> residents in the non-urbanized areas to health care, shopping, education, employment, public <br /> services, and recreation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board: <br /> 1) Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the North Carolina Community <br /> Transportation Program (CTP) grant application by Orange County Public Transportation <br /> (OPT) for FY 2020; <br /> 2) Close the public hearing; <br /> 3) Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application for FY 2019 in the <br /> total amount of $244,609 with a local match total of $33,272 to be provided when <br /> necessary; <br /> 4) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program <br /> Resolution authorizing the applicant to enter into an agreement with the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the Local Share Certification for Funding <br /> form; and <br /> 5) Authorize the Chair and the County Attorney to review and sign the 2019 Certifications <br /> and Assurances document in Attachment 2. <br />
