Local Share Certifications for Funding <br /> PURPOSE: To <br /> 1) Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the North Carolina <br /> Community Transportation Program (CTP) grant application by Orange County Public <br /> Transportation (OPT) for FY 2020; <br /> 2) Close the public hearing; <br /> 3) Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application for FY 2019 in the <br /> total amount of $244,609 with a local match total of $33,272 to be provided when <br /> necessary; <br /> 4) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program <br /> Resolution authorizing the applicant to enter into an agreement with the North Carolina <br /> Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the Local Share Certification for Funding <br /> form; and <br /> 5) Authorize the Chair and the County Attorney to review and sign the 2019 Certifications <br /> and Assurances document in Attachment 2. <br /> BACKGROUND: Each year, the NCDOT Public Transportation Division accepts requests for <br /> administrative and capital needs for county-operated community transportation programs. OPT <br /> is eligible to make application for both administrative and capital funding. <br /> The total CTP funding request for FY 2020 is $176,215 for community transportation <br /> administrative expenses and an additional $68,394 for capital expenses. This draft grant <br /> application is made for expenses totaling $244,609. <br />
