I <br />would like the board s accomplishments to not only focus on its larger communities, but the <br />smaller ones who need help. <br />What do you consider to be be the most important issues facing Orange County related <br />to growth? <br />The influx of people into Orange County puts significant strains on its infrastructure and that is <br />where a great deal of attention and time should be put. <br />What role should the Planning Board take in guiding and regulating growth? <br />I think the Board should take an aggressive hands on approach to guiding and regulating growth <br />to ensure that Orange County grows in a sensible way that doesn t leave an citizen behind. <br />How would you, as a member of the Planning Board, contribute to the implementation of <br />the Board of Commissioners' adopted Goals and Priorities? <br />would move for more affordable housing, better county transportation, and greater assistance to the rural areas. <br />Boards /Commissions appointments: <br />Orange County Housing Authority <br />Application Date: 1/12/2017 <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />As someone who has lived in substandard housing and had childhood friend who have lived in <br />public housing, I know from first hand experience how your home environment can shape your <br />health and mental outlook. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I believe everyone in Orange County should have affordable housing that allows families to <br />thrive in a safe and healthy environment. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Other Comments: <br />This application was current on: 11/14/2017 Date Printed: 11/14/2017 <br />
