Information Technology Analyst <br />Orange County <br />Classification Specification <br />Information Technology Analyst <br />Job Class Code: 2210 <br />FLSA Status: Exempt <br />General Description <br />Ensure optimal functioning and security of the County network servers and <br />internet. <br />Examples of Essential Functions <br />A position may not include all the work examples given, nor does the list include all that <br />may be assigned. <br />o Ensure County network servers are functioning properly by, fixing errors, <br />building and repairing servers, and installing Microsoft patches when <br />needed; monitoring the effectiveness of antivirus software and needed <br />serve space. <br />o Install network printers and map individual computers to different storage <br />drives. <br />o Ensure operability of county internet by working with carrier to identify and <br />resolve any problems. <br />Knowledge, Skills, Abilities <br />o Knowledge of current county operating system, applicable hardware, and <br />user administration and security. <br />o Knowledge of all Windows operating systems, computer hardware and <br />software configuration. <br />o Ability to research and design overall system tools for a variety of County <br />systems. <br />o Ability to operate bursting machines. <br />o Ability to troubleshoot via telephone and train users. <br />o Ability to engage a wide variety of county staff with varied technical <br />backgrounds. <br />o Skill in oral and written communication. <br />Last Updates: 09/11 <br />P <br />
