P <br />with musicians, vendors and demonstrators, and artists have been juried by the Orange County <br />Arts Commission staff. A complete program and schedule for the event is available <br />at www.orangecountylocalfest.com. <br />Food and beverage sales will be provided by a local food truck rodeo and beer garden. The <br />County has contracted with three breweries, a cidery, and ten different food vendors. A list of <br />the individual food and beverage vendors is also available at www.orangecountylocalfest.com. <br />The County has also completed a detailed transportation plan that will facilitate all attendees to <br />park offsite. Orange County Public Transportation will provide six options for residents and <br />guests to park and ride to the event. These stops include Cedar Grove, the Department of <br />Social Services in Hillsborough, Durham Technical Community College, Eubanks Road Transit <br />Parking Lot, Fairview Park, Mebane, the Hillsborough Walmart, and Weaver Street Coop. Onsite parking will <br />be available for residents with disabilities. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The FY2018 -19 Budget appropriated $50,000 of Article 46 sales tax to <br />support Local Fest. <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are applicable <br />to this item: <br />• GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br />INEQUITY <br />The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or color; <br />religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national origin or <br />ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or economic <br />status. <br />• GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF - SUFFICIENCY <br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary <br />for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their <br />dependents. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the update and <br />provide questions to staff. <br />
