The master indicates that the site will be over 50% natural. Most of <br />the developed portions of the site are located adjacent to Highway 15-501. <br />The Town submitted a Special Use Permit application in June of 2004. The review <br />schedule is as follows: <br />• Town Council -Tentatively scheduled for May 9, 2005, 7:00 p,m., Town Hall, <br />Council Chambers. <br />On April 11, the Council took the following two important actions: <br />t. Authorized the Manager to amend the Special User Permit to add 60 spaces to the <br />Dogwood Acres Drive parking lot. <br />2. Approved a phasing plan for the initial phase of construction. The following <br />elements will be constructed in the first phase assuming that bids are within <br />budget. All other park elements would be built once additional funds are secured: <br />• Parking lot with 125 spaces on Dogwood Acres Drive <br />• All sewer and water extensions, restrooms, sidewalks, traffic calming, <br />landscape buffers along US 15-501, dry detention basins, constructed <br />wetland basins <br />• Extension of Fan Branch Greenway Trail to the dog park <br />• Public art <br />• Athletic/soccer fields (3) (This option would not include athletic lights. <br />Lights would be added in a future phase although we would provide all <br />conduits in this phase to make future installation easier) <br />• Children's play area (1) <br />• Picnic Shelters (1 large, 1 small) <br />• Dog pazk <br />• Meadow/grass play area <br />• Disk golf course <br />
