R. <br />Cheek, tax lister for Chapel Hill Township, was authorized to use the showroom at Yates Motor <br />C®pagq as the tax listing place for Chapel Hill Township: <br />Dpon motion of Comaissioner Stanford,, seconded by Commissioner McDade, and unanimously passed, <br />it Ives authorized that all County offices Would ba closed on December 2ly 25, 26, 1957, for <br />Christmas Holidays and on January 1, 1958, for New Years Holiday. <br />A letter from Hay 0. Mitchell, 210 17. University Drive, Chapel Hill, N. C„ was read. Mr, <br />Mitchell requested the Hoard to m+li ify tho late listing penalty on his 1957 tax bill. The Board <br />declined to remove this late listing penalty. <br />Upon motion oL Comnissi oner Stanford, seconded by Cormissioner Fay, and unanimously passed, Roy <br />M. Cole was appointed as Assistant Solicitor for Orange County. Mr, Cole'e salary was sot at 'v1.00.00 <br />per Superior Court term until June 30, 1958. <br />'' Upon motion of Commissioner Hay, aecooded by Commissioner Stanforti and unanimously passed, the <br />', double listing against the property of Marie i7i711ams for the yoazs 19L6 thru 1956 was ordered <br />strict<en from the tax records. <br />The proposed electrlcalordinance, which had been dram by Frank ;Sorrow and J, Isonard Rosamond, <br />Orange County's electrical inspectors, was discussed. The Board agreed that the ordinance should ba <br />sukmi.tted to A. H, Oraham County Attorney, for his inspection sad opinion. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Stanford, eoconded by Commissioner }7alker, and vnaaimouslp nassad, <br />Sam Gattis, County Accountant, was authorized to proceed with the negotations to have the trees <br />located on the south side of the new courthossse pruned. <br />Upon motion the Board ad,~ourned to met again on 17ednesday, December ll, 1957, at 1:90 p.m., at <br />the Tmvn Hall in Chapel Bill, N.
