It is staff's conclusion that current TLC policy will prohibit any opportunity, even in the most calamitous <br />of weather events, for the residents of Orange County to utilize this county owned property as part of <br />recovery operations. Absent direct involvement and persuasion by the County Board of Commissioners <br />toward TLC this property will not be further considered or pursued by staff. <br />Staff will now initiate a process by which privately owned property that is suitable for obtaining <br />permitting as a temporary DMS will be solicited, with guidance from the County Attorney and <br />Purchasing Agent. Staff will keep the SWAG apprised of any progress. <br />
