Exhibit 2-3 <br />presents the Town’s typical waste composition based on the 2010 study. <br />Exhibit 2 -3. 2010 Waste Composition Study Results <br /> <br /> <br />Compared to Orange County and the surrounding municipalities, the composition of the Town’s <br />waste is generally higher in organics (40% vs. 30-35%) and wood waste (4% vs. < 4%). <br />However, the Town’s waste composition generally has less metal and inert debris (4% vs. 5-6%). <br />SCS noted the following general trends in the Orange County waste composition data since <br />1995, which may represent the Town’s waste composition for the purposes of this Study. Paper, <br />metal, and glass composition in the waste stream has demonstrated a consistent decline to <br />approximately half of their initial contributions over the last 10 years.
