Funding Committee – Scheduled to meet March 24 all day at Southern Human Services Center. <br />The committee will hear from all the programs who have submitted applications for funding and <br />be able to ask any questions. The committee will then make their funding recommendation to <br />the council for approval at the April meeting. <br /> <br />Consultant Update <br />CAY will be hosting several meetings across the state in the coming weeks and registration is <br />required. Billy Lassiter will be addressing JCPC funding and raising the juvenile age. There <br />will be a lot of great information shared. <br />NCJSA Spring Conference will be March 15-17 at Carolina Beach. Information on the <br />workshops will be released later. <br /> <br />Announcements <br />Linda Boldin will be doing a Common Sense Parenting class for dads at Freedom House and also <br />in Durham. Parents are welcome to come to either location and there is still space available. <br />Renee Price suggested letting Todd McGee, Community Relations, know so that he could help <br />with the distribution/advertisement of the class. Meg suggested possibility of quarterly email <br />blast highlighting our JCPC funded programs and/or their events, classes, trainings, services, etc. <br />Meg stated that she would contact Todd about this possibility. <br /> <br />Kelsey brought cards to pass out with updated information on Wrenn House. <br /> <br />Anna Orr is taking over juvenile prosecution for Orange County and will be replacing Jeff <br />Nieman on the JCPC. <br /> <br /> Next JCPC Meeting: Friday, April 7, 2017; Location: Southern Human Services <br />Center, 2501 Homestead Rd, Chapel Hill NC <br /> <br />
