Due to this fact, the Orange County FSA Office has scheduled a County Emergency Board Meeting for Tuesday, ,Tune 25, 2002 at 2 :00 pm to' be held at the Orange County Agricultural and Planning Building located at 306 Revere Road in Hillsborough. The meeting will be conducted in the food lab of the Orange County Agricultural Extension Service Office. This Board will consist of representatives from the Orange County FSA Office, Orange County Natural Resource Conservation Service, and the Orange County North Carolina Cooperative Extension Office. During the County Emergency Board Meeting, we will be discussing the effects of the long term drought and excessive heat on the producers and crops of Orange County for crop year 2002 in which your input would be greatly appreciated. Therefore, I am inviting all Orange County FSA County Committeepersons along with Orange County FSA Community Committeepersons to attend this meeting to help secure any and all information in regard to drought conditions within Orange County. With this information, we will request any and all assistance that may be available through the United States Department of Agriculture for the farmers and ranchers of Orange County.
