i <br />b. Revisions to Voluntary Farmland Protection Ordinance <br />Stancil noted that the revisions are underway and that a "straw" document would <br />be presented at the regular April meeting. He also noted that the county attorney <br />is working on the VAD agreement form and expects it to be completed soon. <br />Ranells asked for the Alamance program be distributed in the next packets. <br />Kleese reported that organic wheat farmers were recognizing the need to <br />organize grain storage to be able to stay competitive with larger manufacturers <br />and gave background information on a local farmer circumstances. <br />A group discussion on the need for grant application information to be available <br />to everyone and ways the APB could assist other groups (e.g., equine <br />associations), and the APB history was reviewed. The discussion concluded <br />with the an assignment for staff to retrieve the Agricultural Summit sign -in <br />information to get possible interested parties that might want to become included <br />in the grain storage efforts or other diversity projects. <br />C. Blackwood Farm Site Visit —April 10th <br />Stancil reviewed that at the last meeting members had expressed a desire to <br />have a site visit at the Blackwood Farm and polling had revealed April 10th as an <br />acceptable date. The time was suggested for 5:30 p.m. with the possibility of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission joining the group. Kleese requested that the <br />future APB meetings be held at the farm when possible. <br />ITEM #5: ITEMS FOR DECISION <br />a. Voluntary Agricultural District Application — Don Johnson <br />Farm <br />b. Recommendation on Triangle GreenPrint <br />C. Annual Chair and Vice -Chair Elections <br />All decisions items were deferred for lack of quorum. <br />Walters requested that the April 10th site visit include an official meeting segment <br />to approve the VAD Johnson Farm. <br />ITEM #6: Adjournment <br />The APB adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />2 <br />
