PUBLIC CHARGE <br />The Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of Orange County <br />its respect. The Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a <br />respectful, courteous manner, both with the Board and with fellow <br />citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or any citizen fail <br />to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending member to <br />leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should <br />decorum fail to be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such <br />time that a genuine commitment to this public charge is observed. All <br />electronic devices such as cell phones, pagers, and computers should <br />please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. <br />C. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br />7:40 1. Closing of a Public Right -of -Way <br />Property owners on SR 1571, Pleasant Green Community Center <br />Road, have petitioned the N.0 Department of Transportation to <br />abandon a 0.27 -mile portion of the road from the State Maintained <br />System. <br />8:00 2. Orange County Comprehensive Plan Land Use Element Update: <br />Policy Options for Reduced Residential Land Use Density in <br />Watersheds <br />This is the first of a three -part public hearing process and is to <br />present four policy options for residential land use density to address <br />identified growth challenges in the areas of air and water quality, <br />water resources, environmental protection, open space preservation, <br />traffic control, and efficient provision of public services. <br />:i:'• {.::iii;7T(:'t!(;i.
