5. TASK FORCE MEETINGS AND DELIBERATIONS <br />The Task Force met four times between September 23 and December 15, 2004 to <br />evaluate land use and service area issues pertaining to growth potential within the <br />urban influence of the Town of Hillsborough. Following is a brief summary of each <br />meeting: <br />Meeting One: September 29, 2004 <br />At its first meeting, the Task Force discussed a draft mission statement, the work <br />product to be generated, and reviewed current conditions and past research. <br />Meetinq Two: October 20, 2004 <br />There was additional discussion and refinement of the mission statement and work <br />product. The idea of a Town and County funded consultant study to address the <br />technical points of service area boundaries and utility capacities was suggested. Staff <br />was asked to develop a list of De Facto Principles of Agreement and map for the next <br />meeting as well as a preliminary scope of work for consultant services. <br />Meeting Three: November 17, 2004 <br />There was additional discussion of the Task Force's mission to include addition of a <br />vision statement; De Facto Principles of Agreement received further review and <br />modifications; the first draft of a scope of services was discussed and refined; and the <br />Task Force agreed to hold an additional meeting in December. <br />Meeting Four: December 15, 2004 <br />At its final meeting, the Task Force suggested minor changes to the Vision /Mission <br />Statement and Defacto Principles of Agreement.
