FROM : FAX NO. :9197323921 Appendix A <br />Town <br />of <br />—Hills <br />FULLSBOROUGH Town BOA OF COMMUSSIONERS <br />Regolution Authorizing the Creation of a Joint orange County/Town of Hillsborough Urban Transition <br />Area Task Force and Appointment of Members to Serve on the Task Force. <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Hillsborough participated in the development and approval of the Water and Sewer <br />Management Planning and Boundary Agreement that defines responsibility for Primary Service Areas (PSA) <br />for different areas of the County; and <br />WWREAS, there exists a need to identify areas around the Town of Hillsborough that can be serviced with <br />water and sewer in accordance with 'Transition Areas identified in the Land Use dement of the Orange County <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, land use planning also involves identifying the demands for other public services in the Transition <br />Areas, including but not limited to recreation, parks, schools, and economic development, and <br />WHEREAS, during the March 22, 2004 Joint Meeting with the Town of Hillsborough, the creation of a task <br />force to create guidelines for the Urban Transition Area was discussed; and <br />WHEREAS, the creation of the Task Form and appointment of members to sane is within the purview of the <br />Town of Hillsborough and respectively within the purview of the Orange County Board of Commissioners. <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Orange County and the Town of Hillsborough to create a <br />Task Force, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Hillsborough Town Board of Commissioners that, by <br />approval of this resolation, does amfiori= the creation of a Joint Orange County/ Town of ffillsbmugh Urban <br />Transition Area Task Force and the appointments of one County Commissioner and alternate and one Planning <br />Board member. <br />Michael 0gjng_ Eric Haftan <br />Towo Board member Town Board Alternate <br />Pout Newton Brunt Warren <br />Planning Board member Parks & Recreation Board member <br />The task force will be charged with recommending growth managenmnt guidclines, policies and bmt daries for <br />those areas appropriate for public water and sower ser'lrice in conjunction with the Orange County <br />Comprehensive Plan Update and report its recommendations to the Board of Co" Commissioners no later <br />than November 22, 20N, at which time the Task Force shall sunset. <br />This the 14' day of June, 2W4, <br />A ST: <br />F <br />Ponna F.
