ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />Resolution Authorizing the Creation of a Joint Orange County /Town of <br />Hillsborough Urban Transition Area Task Force and Appointment of Members to <br />Serve on the Task Force. <br />WHEREAS, Orange County participated in the development and approval of the Water <br />and Sewer Management Planning and Boundary Agreement that defines responsibility <br />for Primary Service Areas (PSA) for different areas of the County; and <br />WHEREAS, there exists a need to identify areas around the Town of Hillsborough that <br />can be serviced with water and sewer in accordance with Transition Areas identified in <br />the Land Use Element of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, during the March 22, 2004 Joint Meeting with the Town of Hillsborough, <br />the creation of a task force to create guidelines for the Urban Transition Area was <br />discussed; and <br />WHEREAS, the creation of the Task Force and appointment of members to same is <br />within the purview of the Orange County Board of Commissioners and respectively <br />within the purview of the Town of Hillsborough. <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of Orange County and the Town of <br />Hillsborough to create a Task Force. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners that, by approval of this resolution, does authorize the creation of a <br />Joint Orange County /Town of Hillsborough Urban Transition Area Task Force and the <br />appointments of one County Commissioner and alternate and one Planning Board <br />member from the Hillsborough Area. <br />BOCC Member <br />BOCC Alternate <br />Planning Board Member <br />
