larger proportion of 005 students expect to attend Community /Technical Colleges (30.5 %)
as compared with CHCCS (6.7 %)
Table 25: 2002 -2003 High School Graduate Intentions*
Source: *NCDPI Statistical Profile 2004
f. Resource Allocations
Personnel
Personnel allocations for the two districts are different. Data gathered in
December 2004 from the CHCC5 Opening School Report and the 005 Central Office were
used to construct Table 26. This table lists the various personnel by the terms used by
each district. It is important to remember that this table represents secondary synthesis
of data shared by each district. With CHCCS having 1.6 more students than 005, if the
number of personnel allocated were equal, CHCC5 would have fewer that two -times the
number in a given category. The table indicates that in many categories, CHCC5 have
proportionally more personnel than 005. (Abbreviations used: E5: 1 /school indicates 1
person per elementary school. 1eIE5 reads 1 position at 1 elementary school.) As a
reminder, CHCCS have 9 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 2 high schools for a total
of 15 schools. 005 have 7 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 2 high schools for a
total of 11 schools.
CHCC5 /005 Final Report 35
CHCCS
OCS
Public Four -Year Institution
44.0
45.0
Private Four -Year Institution
38.4
13.3
community/Technical College
6.7
30.5
Private Junior College
0.7
0.0
Trade, Business
0.4
0.0
Military
0.9
3.6
Employment
3.1
3.0
Other (includes not available, marriage, etc)
1 5.7
4.5
Source: *NCDPI Statistical Profile 2004
f.
