• System Wide Remediation Funding <br />We have determined that providing sustained remediation assistance to our At -Risk <br />Students has elevated our proficiency levels in reading and math over the past four <br />years. We have been limited to providing these services the second half of the school <br />year. We are adding additional funding to each of our schools so that these services <br />can be expanded and offered throughout the school year. The program will be offered <br />both during and after school. <br />$ 81,000 <br />• Grant WriterNolunteer Coordinator <br />Currently we don't have any specific person to pursue Grant opportunities for the <br />system. It is very important that we seek any and all additional funding for our <br />system. In addition to these responsibilities, the system is also in need of an organizer <br />to build a pool of school volunteers. It remains very clear that the more external <br />customers we can involve in the educational process the more successful we will be in <br />developing the total child. <br />$ 35,000 <br />Additional Month of Employment for Guidance Dept OHS <br />Orange High School is currently the only high school in the area that doesn't have the <br />Guidance Office open year round. As our system continues to grow and with the <br />number of new /transfer students coming over the summer, we need to register <br />students and communicate with new parents as they arrive in our system. <br />$ 2,500 <br />4 <br />
