Article 1: Administration <br /> Section 1.10: Floodplain Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />Orange County, North Carolina – Unified Development Ordinance Page 1-17 <br /> <br />(D) Render technical advice and recommendations related to this Ordinance and its <br />operation. <br />1.9.3 Membership <br />The DAC may consist of representatives from: <br />(A) Orange County Planning Department (including Erosion Control, Building Inspections, <br />Floodplain Management, Transportation, Comprehensive Planning, etc.), <br />(B) Orange County Health Department, <br />(C) Orange County Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation, <br />(D) Orange County Economic Development Department, <br />(E) Orange County Emergency Services Department, <br />(F) N.C. DOT District, <br />(G) Town of Chapel Hill, <br />(H) Town of Carrboro, <br />(I) Town of Hillsborough, <br />(J) City of Mebane, <br />(K) Orange Water and Sewer Authority, <br />(L) Orange-Alamance Water District, <br />(M) Public Utilities, <br />(N) Natural Resource Conservation Service, and <br />(O) Boards of Education; Orange County and/or Chapel Hill-Carrboro. <br />1.9.4 Meetings <br />The Planning Director is to convene and chair meetings of the Development Advisory Committee. <br />The minutes of each meeting of the Committee are to be maintained as a separate document in <br />the nature of a public record in the office of the Planning Director. Meetings shall not be open to <br />the public. <br />1.9.5 Reports <br />The Development Advisory Committee shall prepare its report on a proposed amendment, <br />Special Use permit, rezoning, Conditional Districts, or subdivision on the basis of the petition, if <br />any, and supporting documentation as well as any public plans, studies, or data for inclusion <br />within the official review file of the given project. <br />SECTION 1.10: FLOODPLAIN ADMINISTRATOR <br />1.10.1 Designation <br />The Planning Director shall be referred to as the “Floodplain Administrator” when administering <br />aspects of this Ordinance related to the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). The Floodplain <br />Administrator shall hereby be appointed to administer and implement the provisions of this <br />Ordinance relating to the development and enforcement of various provisions associated with: <br />(A) Special Flood Hazard Area Overlay DistrictFlood damage prevention regulations, and <br />(B) State and Federal regulations concerning floodplain development. <br />1.10.2 Duties and Responsibilities <br />Duties of the Floodplain Administrator shall include, but not be limited to: <br /> 33
