Article 5: Uses <br /> Section 5.8: Standards for Adult and Child care & Educational Facilities <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Orange County, North Carolina – Unified Development Ordinance Page 5-89 <br /> <br />5.8.45.8.5 Schools: Elementary, Middle and SecondaryPreparatory 44 <br />(A) Standards for Class A Special Use Permit <br />(1) Submittal Requirements <br />In addition to the information required in Sections 2.7.3 and 5.3.2, the following <br />information shall be submitted as part of the application: <br />(a) 26 copies of the site plan prepared in accordance with Section 2.7.3 of <br />this Ordinance and with theThe following additional information shall be <br />shown on the site plan:45 <br />(i) Total student capacity of school as designed; <br />(ii) Total number of employees at time of greatest shift; <br />(iii) Number and dimensions of designated parking spaces for school <br />buses; <br />(iv) Number of designated parking spaces for employees; <br />(v) Number of visitor parking spaces; <br />(vi) Number of student parking spaces; <br />(vii) Location of student drop off points with stacking spaces <br />identified; <br />(viii) Location of all proposed and future athletic fields and structures, <br />including: <br />a. Total number of seats for spectators, and <br />b. Location of concession stands, if any anticipated; <br />(ix) Proposed public roadway improvements; and <br />(x) Existing and proposed infrastructure improvements (water and <br />sewer). <br />(b) 26 copies of a Landscape and Tree Preservation Plan prepared in <br />accordance with Section 6.8 of this Ordinance. 46 <br />(c) 26 copies of photometric plans prepared in accordance with Section 6.11 <br />of this Ordinance.46 <br />(d)(b) Estimated water usage for structures, landscaping and athletic fields. <br />(e) A Traffic Impact Study, as required by Section 6.17 of this Ordinance.46 <br />(f)(c) A Biological Inventory, prepared in accordance with Section <br />5.17.6(A)(2)(b)of this Ordinance. <br />(g)(d) A Resources Management Plan, prepared in accordance with the <br />Resources Management Plan definition in Article 10 of this Ordinance. <br />(2) Standards of Evaluation Within Economic Development Districts (EDD) <br />If located within an EDD, the application must meet the EDD design standards <br />established in Article 6 of this Ordinance. <br />(3) Standards of Evaluation in Zoning Districts other than an Economic <br /> <br />44 Staff is recommending combining various educational activities associated with satisfying State of North Carolina <br />minimum educational requirements into this central land use category. This would include pre‐school operations. <br />45 Section 2.7.3 requires 26 copies of a site plan to be submitted as part of a Special Use Permit application. There <br />is no need to reiterate this requirement within this Section. <br />46 This information is already required for a site plan submittal as detailed in Section(s) 2.5 and 2.7.3 of the UDO. <br />There is no need to reiterate this requirement within this Section. <br /> 148
