It is this inconsistency in how allowable land uses are listed/categorized that represents an issue <br />to be addressed to ensure compliance with Byrd. <br /> <br />Staff had a general discussion with the Ordinance Review Committee (ORC) at its September 7, <br />2016 meeting to discuss the issue and identify possible solutions. Work on this item was <br />stopped as proposed amendments to the Hillsborough Economic Development District, which <br />impacted the uses listed within the table(s), was completed. In the interim staff received <br />approval of a revised amendment outline form modifying the scope and schedule for this item. <br />The revised form, as contained within Attachment 1, was approved by the BOCC at its <br />November 1, 2016 regular meeting. <br /> <br />Attachment 1 contains additional information and analysis regarding the amendment. Staff has <br />provided copies of the existing tables in Attachment 2 and a revised list in Attachment 3. Please <br />note this item will be presented again to the ORC at its March 1, 2017 meeting. <br /> <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding <br />for the provision of County services. Existing staff, included in the Departmental staffing budget, <br />will accomplish the work required to process this amendment. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Planning staff recommends the Ordinance Review Committee review <br />and comment upon the proposed amendments to the UDO. <br /> 3
