Notice Requirements <br />Consistent with NC State Statutes – legal ad prior to public hearing <br />e. Outreach: <br /> <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br />Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding for the <br />provision of county services. Costs for the required legal advertisement will be paid <br />from FY2015-16 Departmental funds budgeted for this purpose. Existing Planning <br />staff included in the Departmental staffing budget will accomplish the work required <br />to process this amendment. <br />D. AMENDMENT IMPLICATIONS <br />Adoption of the proposed amendment will rename the existing O/I (Office/Institutional) <br />zoning district to O/RM (Office/Research and Manufacturing) zoning district, allow for <br />additional principal uses in the O/RM district, delete residential uses as a permitted use <br />in the O/RM zoning district, establish secondary uses, and create a new land use type, <br /> General Public: A community meeting will be held prior to the May Planning <br />Board meeting to review the proposed amendments and <br />accept public comment.
