However, the size of residential structures may be determined <br />and/or limited by lot size, zoning district, zoning regulations, and environmental health standards. <br />2 Onsite includes stick built construction (i.e. individual lumber). Offsite includes modular construction and manufactured <br />homes. <br />3 Manufactured homes are built to the standards of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). A HUD <br />Certificate is required by Orange County prior to placement in the county. <br /> <br />September 1, 2015 – This item was presented to the BOCC for adoption <br />consideration. The BOCC voted to reopen the public hearing and refer the item <br />back to the Planning Board and Planning staff to modify the proposed amendment <br />to include comments received at the May 26 Quarterly Public Hearing and the <br />September 1 BOCC meeting. The following comments were made: <br /> <br /> BOCC Member Comment: Shocked to discover that Orange County <br />only allows up to three unrelated people to live together in a single <br />family dwelling unit. Request for this to be reviewed by staff and <br />modified. <br /> 7
