The Planning Board will have the item referred to it and shall have up to 90 days to <br />comment on the application. A public hearing is held by the BOCC after which the item is referred to the <br />Planning Board for recommendation. The referral motion shall hold the public hearing open to a date/time <br />certain in order for the BOCC to receive the Planning Board recommendation and any written comments <br />submitted after the public hearing. <br />[2] The Planning Board approves the Concept Plan for a Major Subdivision and then makes a recommendation <br />on the Preliminary Plat to the BOCC. <br /> <br /> <br />Orange County, North Carolina – Unified Development Ordinance Page 2-1 <br />
