Planning staff is recommending that farming-related uses not be added to the R-1 zoning district as permitted uses because the stated purpose of the <br />R-1 zoning district is “to provide for rural non-farm residential development…” (emphasis added). Farming ventures currently located in an R-1 zoning district <br />can apply to have property rezoned to either AR (Agricultural Residential) or ASE-CZ if there is interest in pursuing additional uses on the farmed property. <br />8 This is considered a bona fide farm under State Statutes and cannot be regulated with zoning so it is being recommended for deletion by staff. <br />9 Moved from “Commercial Uses” section <br />47
