Proposed Amendments Planning Board ORC - October 2, 2013 <br /> <br />Attachment 3 <br />Existing Language to remain within the referenced section of the UDO Existing Language to be revised within the referenced section of the UDO <br />Proposed Language to be added within the referenced section of the UDO <br />Revised Standards <br /> Existing Language Proposed Language <br />Minor Home Occupations Major Home Occupations <br />General <br />Operations <br />5.5.3(A)(2)(b)(i) <br />and <br />5.5.3(A)(2)(c)(i) <br />In all residential districts except <br />RB, AR and R-1, no more than 35% <br />of the floor area of the dwelling <br />unit or 500 square feet, whichever <br />is less, may be used for the home <br />occupation. <br />In all residential districts except RB, AR and R-1, <br />no more than 35% of the floor area of the <br />dwelling unit or 750 square feet, whichever is <br />less, may be used for the home occupation. <br /> <br /> <br />The total amount of allowable square footage of <br />dwelling units in conjunction with major home <br />occupations exceeding permitted square footage <br />allowances referenced in Section 5.5.3.A.2.(e).(i).c, <br />Minor Home Occupations, shall be determined with <br />an approved Special Use Permit. <br />Up to two events per year, not to exceed three <br />consecutive days each, with a maximum of thirty <br />attendees per day shall be permitted. <br />Major home occupations shall only be permitted in <br />the AR and R-1 zoning districts. <br />All major home occupations shall be located on <br />parcels at least five acres in size. <br />All accessory structures, outdoor storage space, and <br />parking areas used in conjunction with the home <br />occupation shall be setback at least 100 feet from all <br />property lines and public or private roadways. <br />Up to six students, customers, and/or clients shall <br />be permitted onsite at any one time, not to <br />exceed a total of twelve students, customers, <br />and/or clients per day with the exception of <br />Section 5.5.3(A)(2)(b)(i)c. <br />Up to four events per year, not to exceed three <br />consecutive days each, with a maximum of seventy <br />five attendees per day shall be permitted. <br />Up to fifteen students, customers, and/or clients shall <br />be permitted onsite at any one time, not to exceed a <br />total of thirty students, customers, and/or clients per <br />day with the exception of Section 5.5.3(A)(2)(c)(i)e. <br />Limitations on <br />Traffic Generation <br />5.5.3(A)(2)(b)(ii) <br />and <br />5.5.3(A)(2)(c)(ii) <br /> <br />Traffic generated by visitors, <br />customers, or deliveries shall not <br />exceed more than two business <br />trips per hour, more than eight <br />trips per day, or more than two <br />deliveries of products or materials <br />per week. <br />All deliveries must be made by vehicles of a size normally used for household deliveries. <br /> <br />Parking generated by the home <br />occupation shall be met off the <br />street and other than in a <br />required yard area. <br />Parking generated by the home occupation, including parking for events, shall be met off the street and <br />not in a required yard area. <br /> <br />86
